MILLINGTON — The Millington Cardinals continued their strong run through Big Thumb Conference White Division play Thursday night, putting together a convincing straight-set victory over Reese at home.

Millington controlled the match from start to finish, defeating the Rockets 25-19, 25-17, 25-13 to complete the 3-0 sweep.

The Cardinals were tested most in the opening set, but pulled away for a six-point victory to take an early advantage. Millington increased the pressure as the night progressed, holding Reese to 17 points in the second set before delivering its most dominant performance in the third.

With the victory, Millington improved to 14-4 overall and 4-1 in BTC White play.

Kallie Stevens powered the Cardinals with one of the night's top all-around performances. Stevens recorded a double-double with 12 kills and 12 digs while also creating problems for Reese from the service line with six aces.

Carly Ehrmantraut gave Millington another consistent attacking option, finishing with 11 kills. Together, Stevens and Ehrmantraut accounted for 23 kills as the Cardinals maintained control offensively.
